Terms of use

1. Purpose

Dofus Fan Games is a free directory that lets you discover, vote for and list fan games and private servers inspired by the Dofus universe. Using the site implies acceptance of these terms.

2. Account

• Browsing the site and voting are open to everyone, without an account.
• An account is required to publish and manage projects. You must be at least 15 years old (or have a parent’s consent) and provide a valid e-mail address, which you must confirm.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity of your account. One account per person.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile: your projects are then deleted with it.
• The e-mail address must be valid (no disposable addresses) and the username must not be offensive.
• Impersonating another member or the site team is forbidden, as is transferring, sharing or reselling an account.

3. Publishing projects

Projects are published immediately, without prior approval. By publishing, you undertake that:

• the project really exists, is related to the Dofus / Krosmoz universe and the information on the page (name, description, links, tags) is accurate;
• the page and its images contain no illegal, hateful, discriminatory, pornographic or violent content and do not infringe third-party rights;
• the links lead neither to malicious software nor to a phishing page or a scam;
• you hold the rights to the texts, logos and banners you upload, or have permission to use them;
• you do not impersonate another project, a person or Ankama Games, nor use their name.
• each project is listed only once (even with several game modes) and you are responsible for it or authorized to list it;
• the page stays faithful to the project: it cannot change nature after being listed in order to keep its votes or seniority;
• images contain no fake elements (fake play button, fake verification badge), no rank claims (“No. 1”), do not imitate the Dofus Fan Games logo or branding and do not suggest that the project is official or endorsed by the site;
• the project does not promote gambling, scams or fraudulent sales;
• the link works: a page that stays offline or unreachable for a long time may be removed.

You grant the site a free, non-exclusive licence to display this content on the site, its sharing pages and its announcements (for example on Discord), for as long as the page is online.

4. Private servers

Listing a private server is neither an endorsement nor a guarantee by the site. These servers are independent projects, not affiliated with Ankama Games. Each project owner is solely responsible for its legality and for respecting the rights of the owners of the works concerned. Players use these servers at their own risk. The site may remove at any time a page that is reported to it as infringing third-party rights.

5. Votes and ranking

• A visitor can vote for the same project once every 1 hour, with an anti-bot check.
• The ranking is established by month and by type (fan games / private servers); each month’s top 10 is kept in the history.
• Prohibited: using bots or scripts, multiplying connections to bypass the limit, buying or trading votes, and any manipulation of the ranking.
• The publisher may cancel suspicious votes, recalculate the ranking, remove a project from the ranking or delete its page in case of manipulation.
• Using a VPN, proxy or any other means to bypass the vote limit or the anti-bot check is forbidden.
• A project may not invite its players to vote for another project in the ranking, enter into cross-voting agreements, or force visitors to vote to access content: each project promotes itself to its own community.
• Votes flagged as abnormal by the anti-fraud systems may be invalidated; to contest, write to us through the contact page.

6. Moderation and reporting

Any visitor can report a page. The publisher may unpublish or delete a page, and suspend or delete an account, at any time and without notice, in case of breach of these terms or unlawful content. No compensation is due for a justified removal.

To report illegal content or an infringement of your rights (copyright, trademark), give the precise identification of the page, the reasons for your request and any useful evidence, using the “Report this page” button or the contact page. Every serious notice is reviewed as soon as possible; an abusive or bad-faith report makes its author liable. A serious breach of these terms may lead to immediate deletion of the account concerned and its projects, without notice or refund.

7. Paid promotion

A project can be promoted for a fee (“Featured” slot, labeled “Sponsored”). This promotion does not influence the vote ranking. The conditions of this service are set out in the terms of sale.

8. Liability

The site is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability. The publisher is not responsible for content published by users, for the projects and servers listed, nor for damage resulting from their use or from external sites. Its liability can only be engaged in case of proven fault and within the limits allowed by law.

The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from use of, or inability to use, the site. Each user is responsible for complying with the terms of the publishers of the games concerned.

9. Personal data

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy.

10. Intellectual property

The elements of the site (structure, texts, logos, graphics, database, rankings) are protected. Their use is limited to private purposes: any extraction, reproduction or commercial reuse, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is forbidden. You indemnify the site against any third-party claim based on the content you publish. The names, trademarks and video game elements mentioned remain the property of their owners; mentioning them for listing purposes does not claim any rights over them.

11. External links

Pages link to external websites whose content is beyond the publisher’s control; the publisher is not responsible for them.

12. Changes to the service

The publisher may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, without liability to the extent permitted by law.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is declared void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force.

14. Changes and governing law

The terms may change; the online version prevails and the update date is shown at the top of the page. They are governed by Bulgarian law; any dispute falls under the courts of Sofia (Bulgaria), without prejudice to the mandatory provisions protecting consumers in their EU country of residence.
